UX user study FSI

UX Nutzerstudie FSI

What do customers and potential customers expect from the digital services of a bank or insurer? From advice through product selection to user guidance and the application process – in our UX user study for banks and insurers, we examine the websites of leading financial service providers from a usability perspective. Interested participants receive, alongside the study, a look over the shoulder at their own website from our UX experts and selected test users.

Structure and research question of the study

As part of the UX user study on banks & insurers, we conducted expert reviews and invited participants from various target groups into our usability lab to take a look at the digital service offerings of banks and insurers. The study focuses on questions around the service design of product pages:

  1. Advice: which advisory options (product comparison, online consultation, chatbots) are offered and how do users rate these services?

  2. Products: How are products explained, presented and showcased?

  3. Closing: what matters in an application process and how can the conversion rate be optimised through better usability?

The findings are summarised in the study and provide deep insight into the offerings and challenges of the financial sector. Current user needs are always the focus. For website managers, we have compiled trends and best practices for inspiration and positioning. Overview sections, infographics and an executive summary bring together the key findings concisely.

The study is available on request.

Free UX review for your website

Alongside the comparative study, we offer participants a behind-the-scenes look in the form of a UX review of their website. In a preliminary discussion, we clarify open questions and agree on the process as well as a relevant use case for the review. Our UX research team then prepares a results presentation and recommendations for action. The results of the UX review are presented at a presentation appointment and made available exclusively to the respective participant. If you would like to take part or have questions about the process, Marian Gertheim is available to help. Participation in the UX user study is free of charge; if you would like to take part, an informal e-mail or a call is enough.

Our focus is on user-centred design. Whether relaunch or step-by-step optimisation of digital applications: we put user needs radically at the centre. For our clients, we bring their target groups into our in-house usability lab and have test participants trial and assess new web applications before they're technically implemented.
