System integration & APIs

Connecting systems, automating data and making processes seamless. From integration architecture to API operations.

System integration & APIs

Every new system promises order. And leaves behind a new interface.

You buy a system because it solves a problem, and inherit a new one in return: the number of connections grows faster than the number of systems. With three systems, that's three paths; with six, already fifteen. That's exactly why, past a certain point, integration starts to feel like each new connection takes twice as long as the last.

This becomes visible through the symptoms: the ERP delivers different prices than the shop, orders end up in the system manually, product data is maintained twice. These aren't user errors, but the bill for connections that grew one after another instead of following a plan.

That's why for us architecture comes before code: the plan for every connection is drawn up before the first line is written. Only then do we build the bridges between ERP, PIM, CMS, commerce platform and marketplaces.

LET'S TALK!

Count your interfaces once. Then let's talk about which of them should stay.

In 30 minutes we'll talk about your system landscape and look together at where the sticking points are. With this input we analyse your plans and discuss your options in a roadmap conversation.

Ihr Nutzen mit System Integration von synaigy

Integration works where today people transfer what systems could exchange instead.

Designing integration architecture

Define data flows, API contracts and interface governance, scalable for new systems and channels.

Develop and integrate APIs

REST, GraphQL and event-based interfaces. Custom API development, standardised, documented and testable.

Connecting ERP and commerce

Connect SAP, Microsoft Dynamics, AS/400 or other ERP systems with Shopware, VTEX, commercetools or Intershop. Automated synchronisation in real time.

Implementing headless and API-first

Decoupling frontend and backend. Connecting commerce, CMS and PIM via APIs. Realising MACH architectures with microservices and headless storefronts.

API operations and monitoring

Cloud hosting, API monitoring and error handling. synaigy operates your integrations on AWS or OVHcloud with round-the-clock monitoring and performance optimisation.

Integration projects in practice

The most expensive interface is the one nobody remembers any more. That's why we document API contracts before we build them. (Suggested quote, wording TO BE CHECKED)

Your path to an integrated system landscape

Four phases that ensure your systems communicate cleanly and data flows automatically.

01

System audit and integration architecture

We analyse your grown system landscape, prioritise the critical data flows and design the target architecture.

02

API design and technology selection

Based on the architecture, we decide protocol, data format and mediation layer per interface, standardised or bespoke, depending on requirements.

03

Development and integration

We develop the interfaces, implement middleware and connect your systems. Iteratively, with automated tests, API documentation and defined error handling.

04

API operations and optimisation

After go-live comes ongoing operations: error analysis, performance dashboards and capacity planning for growing data volumes.

Why architecture comes before code

The integration backlog isn't an exception, it's the norm.

Technology worlds where we build interfaces

Java with Spring, PHP with Symfony and .NET. The choice depends on your system landscape, not our preference.

Frequently asked questions about system integration

That shop, ERP and data sources share the same status: prices, stock and orders remain automatically synchronised across all channels. synaigy designs the architecture for this and develops the interfaces.

Alongside classic REST APIs, also GraphQL and event-based architectures with webhooks and message queues such as RabbitMQ or Kafka. Middleware and iPaaS act as the connecting layer, such as Alumio, MuleSoft, Actindo or bespoke solutions.

An API is a defined interface for data exchange between two systems. Middleware is an intermediary layer that connects multiple systems, transforms data and orchestrates workflows. synaigy uses both.

Headless separates frontend and backend, API-first makes all functions available via interfaces. This enables flexible frontends for web, app and point of sale.

Iterative and secured with automated tests. Entry is also possible mid-inventory, for example with an audit of individual interfaces rather than a full rebuild.

Yes. We also connect older ERP systems without modern interfaces via individual adapters or middleware and ensure clean data flows.

synaigy combines system integration with commerce platforms, PIM, cloud operations, data analytics and UX design. We don't just build interfaces, we take responsibility for the architecture from strategy through to managed operations.

Both are possible: handover to your team with full API documentation, tests and runbooks, or continued managed operation with synaigy.
