As part of the project, a refresh of the site was planned to update the entire online presence with a new, fresh design. The aim was to align the website with the new corporate look of the company and create an overall more contemporary, user-friendly presence.
In addition, the website is meant to reflect Traton's long-term corporate vision – a vision that rises to future challenges: from sustainability and decarbonisation through to digital transformation. State-of-the-Art Technology
Working closely with Palmer Hargreaves, interactive tools handled the technical consulting, evaluation, and implementation of the Rebrush project. Our goal: to modernize the existing digital infrastructure and bring it up to the latest technical standards. The focus was on revamping the front-end and back-end and updating the cutting-edge Magnolia CMS.

Flexible Content Management with Magnolia
The corporate website is built on the efficient and flexible Magnolia CMS. With its user-friendly interface and flexible architecture, Magnolia offers a wide range of features for easily creating, editing, and publishing content. With features such as workflow management, personalization, and multisite management, the CMS is a popular choice for scalable and user-friendly websites. As a Magnolia Gold Partner, interactive tools implements large-scale projects using Magnolia.
The project aimed not only to reflect the company’s new corporate identity but also to create an overall user experience that intuitively meets users’ needs. In addition to a comprehensive update of the Magnolia CMS, the tool stack was also refactored. By replacing older front-end technologies with modern solutions such as Storybook, the new corporate website was not only made more powerful and secure but also prepared for future requirements.
To optimize the website’s performance and security and keep it up to date, extensive maintenance work was carried out in parallel with the concept and design phase. Java and Magnolia were updated to the latest LTS versions to ensure that the website always keeps pace with current technological standards. The modernization of the technical infrastructure now enables seamless user experiences across various levels and enhances the website’s future-proofing.
Efficiency and consistency through a pattern library
Following the successful update of the Magnolia CMS and the refactoring of the tool stack, the revised UI components were migrated into the "Storybook" pattern library. The pattern library acts as a central hub for managing and presenting UI elements, modules and templates used across the website's entire digital ecosystem. Using a pattern library not only boosts efficiency overall but also delivers greater consistency and scalability in digital design. Going forward, new UI components can be added and updated effortlessly without disrupting the overall harmony of the design.
The new website is thus equipped for rapid adaptation to changing requirements, while also guaranteeing consistent user experiences.

Sustainability at the centre
The website refresh marks a further step in TRATON's drive to embed sustainability as a core part of its corporate strategy. Under the motto "Transforming Transportation Together. For a sustainable world", the company aims not just to define sustainable action as a goal, but to actively deliver on it. The website offers a look at the sustainable initiatives and innovative solutions with which the company is actively driving and shaping the mobility industry.
