User experience optimizations for Union Investment
Union Investment Privatfonds GmbH wants to offer its content and features where users actually expect and need them. Together with our team, Union Investment was able to align the user guidance and information architecture of its website more closely with user needs. In agile sprints we developed a prototype and adapted it iteratively. At the end of certain sprints we conducted UX tests, gained new user perspectives and were able to incorporate the insights directly into the next sprint. This resulted in an optimized information architecture and new content concepts for the homepage and other pages.
Using the online tool Figma, all team members were able to work on a document at the same time. This unleashed creativity and saved many coordination rounds and meetings. In this way, we were able to quickly make Union Investment’s website more user-friendly.

Iteratively better through user feedback
We worked in sprints. At the end of several sprints there were UX tests, from which we drew insights that we incorporated into the prototype in the following sprint. In this way, we continued to develop our prototype iteratively, gradually adapting the information architecture and the structure of certain pages. In the end, we were able to hand over the optimized IA and content proposals for specific pages to Union Investment.
Online collaboration tool ensures creativity and speed
As already mentioned, we did all this on the basis of Figma. The tool gave us the opportunity to quickly make content (conceptual, editorial) adjustments in the existing prototype. We were also able to very quickly build and present different versions of a page.
Our team consisted of UX / project management / brand / concept / editorial – we were great at having everyone work together and simultaneously in a single document (Figma)! This created creativity and speed.
